Main Purpose of the Role
Permanent position for RWE Generation SE, in the Gas Division, E&O Gas Electrical, based in United Kingdom reporting to the Team Leader UK. This role requires the candidate to possess the following skills knowledge and experience: practical/technical, planning, organisational, managerial, communication and influencing . In addition the candidate would be expected to promote the RWE values and behaviors, developing the business culture through engagement and encouragement with all staff within their teams and wider portfolio. Driving openness & collaboration at all levels with opportunities to further support our European Power Plants.
Your tasks will include the Management, Engineering and Delivery of:
- Outages/ Projects ensuring that the highest level of health, safety, and environmental standards are implemented and maintained
- Electrical Maintenance and Projects at various Power Plants in the United Kingdom with support to Continental Europe
- Engineering/Maintenance tasks in the power plants, such as HV/MV/LV Switchgear, Motors, Generators, Transformers
- Engineering Planning and implementing modifications on electrical systems within the Power Plants
- Providing first line support to Power Plants in breakdown and fault situations
- Provide knowledge and experience to eliminate complex operational malfunctions, clarifying the causes in the area of responsibility to ensure the integrity / reliability / availability and safe operational of the Power Plant
- Contract management including the specifying, tendering, management and maintaining key relationships with stakeholders.
- Collaboration in the preparation of the business planning, strategies and financial budgets
- Development of long-term implementation of maintenance strategies in the area of responsibility
What we expect:
– Engineering degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
– Industry experience in relevant field and Knowledge of power plant technology and power plant operation, preferably with a sound professional experience
– Good communicator and excellent team player
– Ability to work in hybrid work environment (office and remote).
– Good organizational skills and experience of project management
– Demonstrable experience of working effectively in an international business
– Ability to travel domestically and internationally and work in different Power Plants across the UK
– Fluent in spoken and written English
