My Client are looking for a temporary (envisaged one year duration) Lead Communications Officer for their Branch in Wilmslow
You will have experience of a Comms environment and a qualification (CIPR, CIM or CAM) ideally.
The main duties within this role are to:
Manage, develop, implement and monitor channels and projects (including procurement, creation, maintenance and evaluation) – eg research, publications, events, internal, online, media, campaigns etc. in line with Corporate id
Advise staff on topical and reputation-sensitive issues, and handle those issues, ensuring reputational risks and opportunities are spotted early and that action is taken swiftly to minimise or maximise impact.
Write, advise on and edit a wide range of communications materials; identify and fill gaps (eg adverts, online, publications, speeches, internal comms etc).
Support wider Corporate Affairs and corporate projects by significant and creative communications contribution to planning, designing, implementation and evaluation.
Manage contracts. Foster good working relationships with suppliers, stakeholders, journalists, press officers, peers etc.
Effective internal and external partnership working supported by confident presentation of ideas, project plans and updates to departmental, senior exec, corporate and external audiences.
Develop evaluation criteria and evaluate and report on communications.
Contribute to the Corporate Affairs functional strategy and business plan.
Contribute to stakeholder relations strategy and information rights contact programmes eg, corporate contact programmes developed, account managers coordinated, information sharing facilitated. Provide advice and information and intelligence service on UK public affairs and stakeholder issues.
Coordinate diary of external appearances for senior staff, opportunities created, items prioritised and with media relations tie-ins.
Develop and implement systems, policies and procedures to monitor, edit and improve the website (including content, navigation and structure).
Ensure website is consistent with government accessibility standards.
Manage the structure of the website, and provide advice to those developing material about where to position the content on the site.
Anticipate and then develop user journeys to the content.
