A leading fertility clinic in Belfast is looking to hire a Laboratory Manager to lead and support their team. The clinic offers many services to clients including, IVF and Egg/Sperm Freezing, they have invested in the latest technology and equipment to make sure that they provide their clients with the smoothest journey and that they have the best outcome.
About the Laboratory Manager role and what the clinic is offering:
* A permanent full-time contract of 37.5 hours per week
* Up to £84,000 per annum, depending on experience

The Laboratory Manager role will include coordinating the andrology and embryology services. You will help develop and manage the Labs budget. You will also actively support patient management and service delivery throughout the patient journey and record such in line with regulatory and clinic requirements, and to ensure that patients are adequately informed about treatment options, treatment outcomes and implications. And work with the Quality Manager to ensure that the Quality Management System is updated in the andrology/embryology area.
What we’re looking for in a Laboratory Manager:
* A degree and preferably a post graduate qualification in life sciences; an MSc or PhD is desirable
* Registration with the Health Professions Council as a Clinical Scientist (Embryology)
* An ICSI licence
* 5 years clinical experience
* An understanding of the biology and scientific evidence underpinning clinical embryology practice
* An understanding of the work of related disciplines
* An understanding of, and ability to apply, quality assurance and monitoring of laboratory performance
* An appropriate level of supervision and management skills
* An understanding of prevailing legislation
