Key Account Manager

Salary: £240,000 per year

My client, a leading engineering services, repairs and products-based company is seeking a highly experienced Key Account Manager.
The role will cover the Greater Manchester area and involve managing around 60% large key accounts, with customer spend of at least £240,000 per annum. Typical industries you will be dealing with will be food production, utilities, paper companies, Petro-chem, manufacturing and pharmaceutical. You will be responsible for cross selling the company’s extensive range of services including predictive maintenance, repairs of rotating equipment and the sale of pumps, motors, and other MRO products.
You will need to show evidence that you have recent experience of managing large key accounts and you will be expected to bring on new business as well. The role will involve: –
* Managing around 60% large key accounts and cross selling all areas of the business to existing clients
* Driving new business development around 40% of the time ideally, again cross selling all areas of the business
* Meeting with clients on a regular basis
* Putting together strategic plans to grow existing accounts and providing a professional, consultative solution to meet client’s expectations
* Updating the CRM system on a regular basis
* Following up sales leads
* Grow and nurture key accounts and bring on new business
To apply you will have: –
* Recent experience of managing large key accounts/blue chip customers who spend around £240,000 per year within the food production, manufacturing, petro-chem or paper companies
* Engineering services or engineering sales experience is essential
* Ideally you will have recent experience of selling rotating equipment products, maintenance, or services
* Experience of cross selling
* Experience of bringing on new customers
* Happy to meet with clients on a regular basis
* Must live no more than 1 hour away from Manchester
* Car driver – essential
What is on offer: –
* OTE around £60,000 – £70,000 with a typical bonus of around £10,000 paid both quarterly and annually
