Junior Risk Consultant (Defence / Energy / Construction)

OVERVIEW: JUNIOR RISK MANAGER / CONSULTANT / ANALYST. Would suit a Graduate in Risk Management (or IRM qualified Graduate) with ideally 1+ years Risk management industry experience working with external client(s) on Project Risk and business transformation across defence/energy/construction/oil & gas/engineering/similar sectors. Full training provided to Risk Manager status

SALARY; �28K-�35K + fantastic benefits including relocation allowance.

LOCATION:- Local office is Bristol however candidates may live anywhere within commuting distance and will mostly be on client sites in the south west BUT ALSO flexibility IS required to work away during the week on client sites if required.

THE ROLE:-
My client has a fantastic opportunity for an aspiring individual to join an established but still growing Risk Management consultancy team. Candidates who have gained core risk management attributes in their careers so far can expect to be developed into proficient risk managers through a program of training and client engagement in a range of projects within the UK.

Your core activities as a Risk Management specialist will include:-

* Working on a range of challenging consulting engagements, applying a variety of Risk Management principles to enable our clients to make effective project and business decisions.

* Working individually or as part of a team providing risk management services, including Risk Identification and Facilitation, Analysis, Process Development, Reporting and Training.

* Program management support to these engagements, with the ability to execute these alongside existing risk experience to provide a broad depth of consulting offerings.

* Supporting internal and external bid activities.

* Cost and Schedule Risk Analysis, including reporting information to project teams and Board members.

* Assistance in the growth of the Risk Management Capability across the business through personal and business development activities.

PERSON SPECIFICATION:-

* Experience in conducting risk workshops, collating and maintaining risk databases, and creating risk documentation, including risk strategies and plans, is essential.

* Knowledge of risk analysis and modelling (using Primavera Risk Analysis (Pertmaster), Predict, @Risk and/or Active Risk Manager (ARM)) is desirable but not essential.

* Successful candidates should ideally be educated to Degree level and have a minimum of one year’s specific risk management experience, have a driving licence, be able to gain SC level security clearance and be willing to travel and work away during the week (within the UK). Professional membership of a relevant institution, as well as formal qualifications in risk and project management will be desirable.
