My client is an integral, part of a Blue chip solution provider, specialising a niche market.
There is a new opportunity for a Junior Marketing Executive to join the Commercial and Marketing department based in the London HQ.
The Commercial and Marketing department within the company is multi-faceted and this role has responsibility within its three key areas, Commercial, Marketing and Business Development.
The Marketing Executive will contribute to the development of company strategy and commercial plans, manage, support and assist in the development and successful execution of marketing campaigns, events and projects as well as assist with driving the relationships between the company and its clients and prospects.
The role will support the activities of the Senior Marketing Executives within the team, the Marketing Manager and Commercial and Marketing Director.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES covered include the areas listed as follows (but do not be put off by the list as there is a full induction process):
Commercial
• Provide input into the business strategy by liaison with Product Managers, vendor representatives and other key resources within the company
• Assist with the development of product business plans showing the commercial basis and success or otherwise of the product set – for example competitor analysis.
Marketing
• Assist with the production of Marketing Plans to support the agreed Business Plan for each product in the portfolio
• Assisting team members to prepare marketing campaigns as part of the overall strategic marketing programme
• Writing press releases and securing approval prior to distribution
• Prepares reports to analyse campaign and event ROI, and constantly improve marketing activity
• Helps to produce and maintain marketing collateral, sales presentations, case studies and templates, ensuring the latest versions are always available and ensuring the integrity of the company brand.
• Uses HTML expertise to build and distribute e-marketing communications such as event invitations, surveys and newsletters through the eMarketing Suite
• Assist with the maintenance and development of the company website and the monitoring of KPIs
• Assists with the development and logistical delivery of key company events
• Manages and develops seminars and events including identifying target lists, sending initial email invites, tracking responses and sending confirmation emails
• Assist with the maintenance of the company ‘brand bank’ to ensure that the information within it is always up to date.
• Assist the team with the management of social media
• Assist the sales team with the production of presentations and proposals with a view to standardising both across the business
Development
• Assists in maintaining data in the company CRM system
• Conducts scheduled data analysis, ensuring target markets have relevant and cleaned contacts and information
• Pulls marketing lists through the CRM and helps with cleaning data as required
• Undertake analysis on data within the CRM system to identify clients/prospects whose relationship with the business is weakening and propose action to mitigate
• Assist the sales team by providing “reasons to call” derived from press activity, company/vendor announcements and the known interests of the client
General
• Assist the team with general adhoc duties, which could include:
• Processing invoices and POs
• Stock control of marketing collateral, stands and “give aways”
• Assist the team when required at events.
The Junior Marketing Executive will offer the following skills and experience:
• Degree educated (Marketing, Business or CIM) with an understanding of Marketing principals
• 1-2 years in a Marketing environment
• High energy, bright, proactive, enthusiastic team player able to play significant role in moving the business forward
• Solid commercial understanding and appreciation of how marketing business development contribute to the success of a business
• Good command of English and Maths is essential
• An aptitude for writing with a willingness to learn is a key point.
• Experience with tools used by the business such as Adobe suite, WordPress, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) – Training can be provided where necessary
• Have a good understanding and experience in digital marketing techniques
• Strong social media experience
• Experience at developing and fostering relationships
• Self-directing, results orientated, positive, determined and inclusive
• Strong awareness of IT Services market
