Junior Design / Project Engineer

Salary: £27,600 – £30,000 per year

The Job
ROLE DESCRIPTION:

Creating 3D CAD models, assemblies and producing 2D drawings using PTC Creo.

Maintaining existing product lines – assisting in updating and improving drawings and models using official EAN procedures.

Creating, developing and maintaining product instruction and operating manuals along with other product literature.

Supporting and assisting in producing contract documentation and working closely with the engineering team to deliver large projects.

Support in developing quality and work procedures for the workshop and factory.

Managing BOMs within our MRP system.

Engineering administrative duties.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

Educational qualifications to B.Sc./B.Eng equivalent in Engineering

Basic Knowledge of 3D CAD software

Strong numerical and methodical problem-solving skills

Understanding of geometrical tolerances

Fluency in Microsoft Word and Excel

SKILLS & COMPETENCIES:

A ‘hands on’ approach is encouraged

A keen eye for detail when assessing customer and project requirements.

Excellent attention to detail and a generally high standard of written English

Applicants will be a confident, driven and resourceful

Adaptable and flexible with ability to prioritise workload;

Be able to work independently with minimal supervision;

Any marine / mechanical background is preferable.

Experience using PTC Creo/Windchill software highly advantageous but not essential.
