IT Technical Support Analyst

Salary: £66,000 – £78,000 per year

We are working with our client, an international bank based in London, with their search for an IT Technical Support Analyst to join their team.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Carry out day to day IT Technical support, maintenance/upgrade and administration on all the bank’s systems and interfaces.

Install and configure hardware operating systems and applications both on- prem and cloud

Troubleshoot, research, and identify any network and system related issues

Investigate and escalate any core banking functional and system issues.

6. Maintain and keep computer systems running 

Support rollout of new applications and establish a good working relationship with customers and other departments within the bank.

Ensure support calls are logged, updated, and followed through to resolution. 

Take ownership of issues and liaise with 3rd party vendors when required, on Business Requirements documentation and system upgrades.

Maintain IT procedures and technical documentation where required.

Assist in IT & Cyber Security Manager in system vulnerability patching cycle.

Assist with preparing data for monthly MI reports.

Skills and knowledge

• Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Computer Science, Mathematics, B Coms, or MSCE Pass Qualifications 

• At least 5 years’ experience in supporting IT systems (Azure or any IaaS) 

• IT Technical Experience in providing technical support in the financial services sector and any support experience in Azure or IaaS platforms 

• Experience in a small bank would be a distinct advantage Excellent communication and IT customer service skills; proven experience in communicating to internal stakeholders, including senior leadership

• An ability to ‘think outside the box’ and look for creative solutions

• Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a busy and demanding team-oriented environment

• Strong analytical skills.
