Salary: £42,000 – £54,000 per year
Our client is a leading software company, founded in 1999, they have offices in the UK and USA and are currently 40 strong in the UK. They development leading software solutions for the climate and meteorological space.
They are seeking to hire an experienced IT Systems Administrator to focused on their Microsoft Azure eco system to join their IT Support team in their Harpenden Offices. You’ll be able to work part remote if desired, 2 days in the office, 3 days at home per week.
You’ll join a team of 4 in IT, however you’ll be the person responsible for maintaining, managing and expanding their Azure ecosystem, including configuring MySQL, SQL Server with replications and their Azure Disaster recovery environment.
Level wise, they are seeking a upwards of 5 years server side skills with Microsoft products & technologies and upwards of 12 months Microsoft Azure skills.
Required Skills
You must have several years of experience working with many (but not necessarily all) of the following:
* Running a full stack Microsoft Azure environment: Servers, web servers, Firewall configuration, MySQL, SQL databases with a D/R strategy
* Microsoft products & technologies – Active Directory, Office 365 with emphasis on Exchange Online and SharePoint
* DNS, DHCP, SMTP, Web & FTP based services
* Patch management
Desirable Skills
* Familiarity with basic Firewall technologies and practises, ability to read vulnerability testing reports
* Linux Knowledge
* Excellent Interpersonal Skills
