IT Systems Administrator

Salary: £42,000 – £54,000 per year

A professional and reputable client of ours in the technology sector are looking for an IT Systems Administrator to join their team. This client is a renowned organisation in their sector and pride themselves on excellent employee retention and progression opportunities as well as a friendly and modern working environment.

The core purpose of this role will be to manage, maintain and upgrade existing systems, networks and infrastructure. Previous experience in a 2nd or 3rd Line Support role will be extremely beneficial as this is a technical and hands-on role which would suit someone with strong troubleshooting abilities.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Install and configure software and hardware.
Manage network servers and systems.
Troubleshoot technical issues for end-users and clients of the business.
Assist in current and upcoming projects as required alongside the IT management team.
Ensure system security through access controls, backups and firewalls.

Skills and Experience should include:

Windows Servers 2012 R2 – 2019
Windows 7/8/10
Active Directory, Group Policies, DNS, DHCP
Experience with cloud technologies – Azure, Office 365, AWS
Knowledge of system security and data backup/recovery
Networking (such as LAN, WAN)
Virtualisation – Hyper-V/VMware
