Inventory Planning Senior Analyst

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced Inventory Planning Senior Analyst to join a hugely successful global distributor of maintenance, repair and operating products at their head office in Leicestershire. You will form a key part of the Inventory Management Team responsible for the execution and improvement of Inventory Planning in a complex distribution network. This includes 100,000 plus product lines from one distribution centre that services customers on an inter-network replenishment system to 50 plus branches.

Your remit will include analysing large amounts of planning data to build actionable recommendations to enhance service delivery and inventory performance, supporting inventory planning strategies and working with supply chain and cross-functional partners to develop strategies that allow the company to meet customer service and inventory performance targets. In addition you will perform gap analysis and identify and lead continuous improvement projects to improve service levels, utilisation of inventory and process efficiency.

You will also provide leadership and guidance to analysts on analytical skills and best practices and, being a change agent, you will be able to communicate complex concepts in an easy to understand manner.

As an individual you will possess a minimum of 5 years experience in analysis within logistics and/or forecast/planning and ideally have a background in a numerate discipline. Experience of data analysis using large customer databases such as SQL, MySQL will be an advantage. You will be detail and results oriented and highly motivated with an ability to collaborate and influence people. You will be a creative problem solver with sound understanding of key financial and customer service metrics.
