RBKC mental health is made up of 3 sites and supports individuals with enduring mental health needs, multiple traumas, complex personality disorder(s) as well as individuals who are under the Care Programme Approach (CPA). The role may include supporting individuals with a significant forensic history, combined with an enduring mental health condition.

The service exists to improve the lives of customers through the delivery of innovative, proactive, recovery-focused provision, which accepts and manages risk, with a strengths-based, trauma–informed and psychologically informed environment approach, enabling them to be sufficiently skilled, confident and resilient, and maintaining sufficient wellbeing to live as independently as they can.

The service manager, with the support of two Team leaders will oversee 32 support staff including an in-house therapist that work across the sites. They will be expected to manage the support budget as well as the housing management budget and therefore experience of managing mental health services as well as knowledge of housing management issues an essential requirement.

Essentials

• Educated to degree level or equivalent
• Experience of managing contracts and resources and delivering to budget and performance targets
• Experience of delivering to housing management performance targets
• Experience of effectively managing and developing staff to ensure delivery of services performance targets within contract
• Experience of successfully managing external partnerships to ensure successful delivery of services
• Holds relevant CMI/NVQ Level 4 or other Business/Management Qualification
