Interim Chief Finance Officer

Salary: £480 – £600 per day

Dedicate Recruitment is working in partnership with this four school trust in the appointment of an interim Chief Finance Officer.

Reporting to the Trust CEO, you will be accountable for the preparation and submission of the year end accounts. Supporting a small team of two finance staff, you will prepare the end of year financial statements for audit and liaise with companies House, the ESFA and Trustees on financial reporting.

The successful candidate will hold a full accounting qualification and has previous experience of operating at a senior finance role within an academy Trust, with a good understanding of reporting to external stakeholders. Knowledge of PS Financials is desirable. You will not only have the confidence to communicate and engage with all levels of staff but also to question information to ensure the financial report is robust and transparent.

You will be flexible and committed to working within strict timelines.

This role offers flexible working with 3-4 days at home and 1-2 days on school site. The successful candidate will hold a current enhanced DBS check or will be subject to one.
