Plumlife is the low cost home ownership and commercial residential management division of Great Places Housing Group who are leaders in the intermediate housing market, providing desirable, affordable homes for working people. Plumlife Management team provides a full management service to circa 2000 homes and work across shared ownership, leasehold, market and intermediate rented sectors.
Position: Information and Advice Officer
Location: Flexible (across Oldham / Didsbury / Salford)
Contract type: Fixed-term – up to July 2017
Salary: Circa £26,000
About the Role:
The Information and Advice Officer will undertake an initial assessment of customer needs and provide an effective and efficient information, signposting and referral service to customers requiring a range of employability and skills support to help them to take up and progress in work, training and education.
The post holder will accurately diagnose the needs of the customer and to gain an understanding of their challenges, barriers and ambitions, and most appropriate provision and progression routes. They will ensure that in house systems hold an accurate and up to date bank of local service provision within key geographical areas to ensure on going referrals are made to trusted partner agencies / service provider and also provide a high quality administrative support function to the team.
About You:
To be successful in this role you will have knowledge of information and advice services and a good understanding of the barriers individuals face in sustaining employment and improving skills, and ways in which these can be overcome. You will have an understanding of the social housing sector and its primary aims and the ability to record information with a high level of accuracy.
Additionally you will have experience of working in an employment and skills related field and / or Customer Service driven sector and experience of delivering to set deadlines and targets. Experience of working in an administrative role and a full driving licence and access to a vehicle for work purposes is essential.
Ideally you will have a Level 2 / 3 IAG qualification / business admin and experience of working in social housing.
