Salary: £30,000 – £36,000 per year
Our client, a Large Distribution Company is now looking to appoint an experienced Import/Export Customs Clerk to join their team based in the Leyton area.
Main Responsibilities:
Completing Customs clearance’s
Apply for documents from suppliers
Input data onto CNS system and Data freight system
Liaising with Stock Control, warehousing and distribution
HMRC duties
Complete payments and refunds
Collate and maintain the companies import data
Carrying out Import CC on cargo emanating from outside Europe
Control and ensure booking and safe delivery into depots
Negotiating rates with shipping lines, approving suppliers invoices and billing clients
Dealing with deliveries from Turkey, Spain, Italy, North Africa and the Far East.
The ideal candidate will have the following experience:
Sea freight experience
using CNS and Data freight systems
Customs clearance experience
Excellent IT skills
Good customer service skills
Attention to detail
Import experience
