ICT and Public Services Lecturer
Location: Radstock, Somerset
Salary: £26,000 – £29,365per year
An opportunity has arisen to join a small FE college delivering high quality teaching of BTEC Level 2/3/HNC/HND courses as well as preparing learning resources, lesson plans and schemes of work to meet College standards. You will be required to provide thorough assessment of student’s work against agreed standards as well as providing information, advice and guidance to students on qualification and progression. You will be required to maintain individual student records and to support delivery of functional skills where necessary, you will also be required to provide regular tutorial support to a designated group of students.
The successful candidate will hold a level 4 or 5 teaching qualification, Assessor and Verifier qualifications or be willing to work towards them. The college is looking for an enthusiastic, flexible individual preferably with previous experience of working in an education setting and someone who can inspire and encourage learning in young people. You must have a good understanding of the IT & Business curriculum, the FE sector and good organisational classroom management in order to be successful in this position.
Some of the modules to be delivered include, Sales, Accountancy, Practical sports, HRM, H&S, Medical Technology, Health & Fitness, Lifestyle, Research Skills, E-commerce Strategy, Anatomy, Physiology, Nutrition, Employability, Communication Skills and ICT customer Care; this is a replacement role and previous resources and materials are available for reference.
