We are looking for a motivated HSE Advisor to join a market leader in their respective industry. Reporting to the HSEQ Manager, you will be working within a small team providing day-to-day support and advise to the whole Manufacturing site, including the offices. With progressive training and development this company is always looking to enhance its employees and their skill sets, whilst additionally being supported by a welcoming team. The position will appeal to a strong EHS professional looking for their next challenging role within in a secure and stable company.

You will be responsible for:

• Ensure a safe working environment has been established for all workers and monitor each departments adherence to the Company SHE standards
• Support and promote a positive safety culture where individuals feel able to challenge the status quo and embrace change consistent with the Company’s values to encourage continuous improvement
• Participate in the completion of Risk Assessments and Standard Operating Procedures to ensure all hazards are identified and suitable controls have been established
• Ensure all accidents/incidents have been thoroughly investigated to identify root cause and prompt action is taken to prevent recurrence
• Be actively involved in improving the SHE KPI’s and provide assistance to achieve agreed objectives and initiatives
• Perform audits and inspections to ensure safe work practices established are being maintained
• Support Safety training and development for all workers to ensure they are competent to perform their work activities

Skills / Qualifications:

• NEBOSH General Certificate (minimum) or similar
• 5 years’ experience in Safety, Health & Environmental, preferably in food manufacturing
• Auditor Training (desirable)
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft office package
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
