Salary: £30,000 – £36,000 per year

WB Power Services is a leading generator specialist that provides solutions, maintenance, sales and hire to customers across the UK. Through a sustained period of growth, we now have a vacancy for a HSE Advisor to join our health and safety department reporting to the business HSE Manager.

  • Provide advice, guidance, and support across the business in all areas of health, safety and environmental
  • Supporting the drive and increased engagement and interaction across the business to continuously improve standards
  • The production, review, and update of RAMS (risk assessment and method statements) ensuring our customers and teams have all the required documents when they need them
  • Carry out and record regular audit inspections to check compliance with policies and procedures, proposing necessary changes to working practices
  • Administration of company training records and arrangement of training prior to expiry
  • Administration of customer safety passport training portals
  • Conduct company inductions of staff ensuring new starters are fully informed regarding HSE matters
  • Maintain company equipment registers and work with relevant departments to ensure all equipment is suitably calibrated in line with schedules
  • Monitor waste transfer management ensuring customers’ needs are met
  • Promote health and safety within the workplace
  • Support the business HSE Manager in the requirements to maintain ISO accreditations including 14001 and 45001

The role is varied and covers a range of areas, so we are looking for someone who is flexible and a self-starter who is ready to make a difference within our company.

What we are looking for:

  • NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent is essential
  • Demonstrable experience ideally within a health and safety environment
  • To be self-motivated and pragmatic in your approach to problem solving
  • Delivery of high-quality work, with a keen eye for details, within a fast-paced, dynamic working culture
  • To be a strong team player, with a willingness to be flexible and adaptable in response to emerging needs
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and able to communicate with a broad range of people
  • There will be some travel to other sites requiring a driving license
