Salary: £42,000 – £48,000 per year

As an HR/Office Manager, you will be responsible for the welfare of the company’s staff in a varied and challenging role. You must make sure that the company is employing the right people, with the right skills and qualifications for the job. You’ll need an excellent understanding of how the company operates its business requirements and commercial objectives. You’ll work very closely with other departments and provide an information resource for both employees and senior management. You’ll be concerned with developing, advising, implementing and communicating management policies and follow our current QMS within ISO9001/ISO14001.

Responsibilities:

â?¢ Day to day staffing requirements and needs
â?¢ Processing weekly timesheets for permanent and temporary staff
â?¢ Assisting the finance department with monthly payrolls
â?¢ Employment law – working conditions, disciplinary and grievance procedures, equal opportunities, redundancies, paternity pay and maternity right, SSP etc
â?¢ Recruitment – hiring staff, producing job descriptions, placing adverts, working with recruitment consultancies and organising interviews
â?¢ Liaising with departments and working together on KPI’s, appraisals, targets etc
â?¢ Dealing with holiday requests, return to work interviews, exit interviews etc
â?¢ Salary reviews – researching salaries and ensuring they are in line with legal requirements and industry standards
â?¢ Documentation – writing staff handbooks, contracts, staff memos, and issuing written offers of employment, requesting references, probation periods, promotion etc.
â?¢ Keeping all records up to date manually and also in Sage HR – sickness, holidays, timekeeping etc
â?¢ You may also work closely with company lawyers and trade unions.
â?¢ Organising external contracts – i.e. Air conditioning company, window cleaners, Hygiene & Waste companies, etc
â?¢ Purchase cleaning products and required products for general warehouse use
â?¢ Purchase office equipment and negotiate best prices and quality of product
â?¢ Organise client lunches, tea, coffee etc

This role is office based Monday – Friday 8.00am – 6.00pm
