HR Assistant

V-Recruit are excited to be working in partnership with one of the UKs most forward thinking, recognised and respected Multi-Academy Trusts to recruit a Permanent HR Assistant for one of their Secondary academies, based in Sheffield.

This is a permanent role

37 hours per week, 43 weeks per year (equivalent to term time plus 25 days)

£26,000 – £26,117 per year

Working hours are 7.30am-3.30pm / 8am-4pm with 30 minutes lunch per day

Your main duties will be to work closely with, and to support the academy’s Business Manager in all aspects or HR and Payroll.

You will be responsible for administering the academy payroll function, as well as dealing with any day-to-day enquiries in regard to HR and payroll matters. You will work as a key-member of the business services function, both in school and of the wider trust so you must possess exceptional administrative skills, be organised and be able to prioritise, as well as be able to work under pressure at times.

In addition to HR and payroll, you will be responsible for recording and monitoring staff absence, organising and minute taking meetings and administering a full recruitment process including organising recruitment days and completing pre-employment checks for all new teaching and support staff.

The chosen candidate will be personable, confident, and professional and take pride in all aspects of their work. We are looking to recruit someone from a strong administrative background, ideally with existing HR, Recruitment and Payroll skills, although full training will be given to the right candidate.
