Assistant Web Editor (HTML / SharePoint / SiteCore)
The Assistant Web Editor will support the organisation’s efforts to encourage public engagement in its online activities.
The International Financial Reporting Standards Foundation is a not-for-profit, public interest organisation. Their mission is to develop standards that bring transparency, accountability and efficiency to financial markets around the world. Their work serves the public interest by fostering trust, growth and long-term financial stability in the global economy.
The Foundation is a stimulating and challenging place to work. They have around 150 staff, mainly based in London, drawn from nearly 30 nationalities covering roles in technical accounting, operational and support functions.
Position: Assistant Web Editor
Location: London
Salary: circa £30,000per annum, plus benefits (depending on experience)
ROLE:
Reporting to the Web Editor, you will be responsible for editing, styling and uploading online content and helping to manage a web CMS.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
a) Create, upload, edit and manage content on the public site using SharePoint CMS.
b) Draft, code in HTML and send out email alerts.
c) Respond to requests for website updates and the publishing of email alerts.
d) Ensure that all content is accurate, error-free, high quality, concise, current and adheres to web best practice.
e) Support the migration of content to a new CMS in the near future.
f) Administer the communications team`s intranet site and pages.
g) Review, improve and manage back-end systems.
h) Trouble-shoot basic user problems on the public site and the internal SharePoint site.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS / EXPERIENCE:
a) Previous experience in a web content management role or an editorial background.
b) Experience of multiple CMSs, preferably SharePoint and SiteCore.
c) HTML knowledge for web and email, including testing across multiple email clients.
d) Knowledge of on-site SEO best practice, W3C accessibility guidelines, usability best practice and Internet technologies.
e) Strong English language writing and oral skills.
f) High level of attention to detail and fastidious grammar.
g) Team player with a positive attitude who can work effectively and collaboratively with others.
You may have experience of the following: Assistant Web Editor, HTML, CMS, SEO, Content Editor, SharePoint, Digital Communications, Journalist, Journalism, Online Content Manager, Copywriter, Editor, W3C, Assistant Online Content Producer etc.
