At HIT Training we are passionate about the Hospitality and Catering industry. You could say it’s our bread and butter. We are here, simply to give every individual working in our Sector the chance to develop their skills, gaining for themselves and the industry the recognition they deserve. That means using our talent and experience to train and assess individuals in the workplace to gain an Apprenticeship or industry accredited qualifications.
Our learners are individuals, so no two are treated the same. We don’t believe in robotic, production line training. We are on a journey with our learners, putting them first, tailoring our approach to fit their style and needs like a glove. To continue this legacy we are searching for a new team member. As of one our Trainer Assessors you will be working across your allocated area, having a base in the office alongside your colleagues and Area Manager. We expect that you will spend at least 4 days a week out and about visiting your learners and employers in their workplaces, the coffee shop on the corner to national hotel chains.

There are always changes in the Skills sector so we are constantly ready, at the top of our game, pro-active, creative and innovative. You will need to be confident, enthusiastic and approachable, able to pick things up quickly, happy to use your own judgement and be flexible and adaptable when the business requires.
Skills
You’ll need these important qualities:
* Passion for training – you’ll be motivated by making a difference and deliver the highest possible standards of training and assessment.
* Personable and engaging – you’ll enjoy meeting new people as your aim is to build strong, mutually beneficial relationships with all learners and employers from small and independent to multi-site chains.
* Organised and self-reliant – you will be managing your own diary and learners. Imagine it as a little business of your own. To succeed or fail is in your hands.
* Commercial awareness – you will be accessing Government funding so accuracy and delivering results is key.
* Attention to detail – you will be comfortable with IT as you will be maintaining records on all aspects of your daily work.
* Resilience – training can be tough, no two days are the same and there are always unexpected learner challenges and constant change. You will need to be able react positively and find a way to overcome objections and manage all manner of changes.
It is essential that you have at least 3 years’ experience of working within the Hospitality and Catering industry to supervisory or management level. The role is open to both qualified and unqualified Trainer Assessors. We offer a full induction and training package to all.
If you are an essential car user, you must hold a full UK driving licence, be a confident and able driver, have access to your own vehicle and have the right to live and work in the UK.
