Health & Safety Advisor

Health & Safety Advisor represents an exciting opportunity to work with a cutting edge international company. This role is ideal for people who possess a successful record as an HSE Officer managing health and safety systems within the manufacturing sector. The Company is a large manufacturing business who are committed to investing in their UK facilities.

Salary: Up to £42,000 + 5% Bonus

The Role: Health & Safety Officer / HSE Advisor

Implement the organisation’s Health and Safety (HS) policies so that all employees have a safe and healthy working environment, and the organisation complies with all current and forthcoming regulations for EHS.

Responsibilities: Health & Safety Officer / HSE Advisor

Conduct HS audits and on-site inspections to identify workplace hazards and unsafe equipment, working practices or working conditions.

Keep up-to-date with proposed and actual changes in Health and Safety regulations; so that the organisation’s HS management policies remain current and relevant.

Investigate H&S incidents and complaints; complete or verify incident reports; and liaise with other technical specialists and external environmental agencies to identify the causes of these incidents and prevent their reoccurrence.

Prepare and submit all required H&S reports (both internally and to external agencies) accurately and on-time.

Educate and train the organisation’s workforce on emergency response procedures, handling hazardous materials, and other aspects of HS management to ensure that they understand and comply with the organisation’s EHS policies and standards.

Investigate accidents, complete or verify accident reports and liaise with technical specialists and external health and safety authorities to identify the causes of accidents and prevent their reoccurrence.

The Candidate: Health & Safety Officer / HSE Advisor

Must have Grad IOSH or NEBOSH Diploma.
Must have experience in a health and safety position within the manufacturing sector.
Must have experience of carrying out risk assessments for manufacturing processes.
Must have good IT and communication skills.
Full driving license and own transport its essential.
