Health and Safety Manager

Salary: £54,000 – £66,000 per year

HSEQ Manager – Civils & Infrastructure – East Midlands
*Ideally the successful candidate will be based around Milton Keynes, Peterborough, Leicester, Coventry or Northampton*
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a dedicated site-based HSEQ Manager to join a highly successful main contractor with responsibility for a significant civils and infrastructure project. (including highways and road works)
This privately owned business have an excellent reputation amongst their diverse and well known client base and constantly strive to excel at project delivery and the fostering of a forward thinking and fresh approach to safety.
The ideal candidate will need to be ‘solutions orientated’ with the ability to build strong relationships on the ground and to integrate seamlessly with the project teams and stake holders.
This is an excellent opportunity for an HSEQ Manager who is looking for an influential ‘boots on the ground role’ to proactively support the continued drive of a positive safety culture through engagement, motivation and encouragement.
Essential requirements
* Nebosh Construction and Nebosh General and/or NCRQ
* GradIOSH membership level (or working towards)
* Proven experience of complex large scale civils projects – Major highways and road works
* Experience of working with a principal contractor
* Highways project experience
* Full UK Driving Licence
* Collaborative with strong engagement skills with site teams at all levels
* Visible and hands on across the site
* Engaging and able to influence
* Logical thinker, proactive and pragmatic
Desirable Requirements
* Behavioural Safety Programme Coaching experience
* Proactive employee Wellbeing development experience
Potential Package includes:
* Base Salary Range £54,000 – £66,000+ car allowance & bonus
