Pyramid8 have a fantastic opportunity for a Health and Safety to join their client in WF9.
Our client is looking for a Health and Safety Manager to join a niche and exciting business who supply into the events and music industry.
The H&S Manager position will be a hands-on role managing the overall Health and Safety operation for the Site.
Responsibilities will include:
* Monitoring and ensuring compliance with all relevant H&S and environmental legislation and standards.
* Ensuring the company is ready for ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO H&S Management Systems and preparing for external audits.
* Identifying hazards and assessing risks involved in plant, equipment, work processes, work areas, substances and implementing suitable controls to eliminate or reduce risk throughout our operations.
* Developing and communicating relevant information, instructions and training to all employees (ie. Company induction, risk assessments, safe systems of work, regular updates etc).
* Conducting site inspections of our site and associated areas on a daily basis.
* Auditing company procedures to ensure they are effective and participating in our culture of continual improvement.
* Investigating accidents and near misses and reporting on findings and implementing suitable corrective actions.
* Ensure all day to day operations, cleaning and maintenance activities of plant is done safely.
* Control of disposal and minimisation of on-site waste.
* Pro active co-ordination of the Health & Safety committee and attending any other relevant meetings.
* Promoting environmental awareness throughout the team and working to proactively reduce our environmental impact.
* Promoting and maintaining a positive culture for all aspects of our Health & Safety and Environment.
* Awareness of behavioural safety approaches.
Requirements to
* A suitable NEBOSH qualification
* At least 3 years experience in a similar HSE Management Role
* Good knowledge of current HS&E legislation
* Experience of working with ISO certification, ideally trained as an internal auditor
