This is a huge opportunity for a creative, inbound marketing genius and natural search expert to become the Head of SEO at a major UK brand and Top 50 UK website. We are in search of an SEO thought-leader, who has a proven track-record of delivering brilliant SEO for high traffic consumer websites.

Head of SEO | Head of Search Engine Optimisation – The Job

You will work as the Head of SEO for a Top 50 UK website and company with multiple brands. You will act as the authority for SEO at a time where the business seeks to execute an impressive strategic plan, which will involve building new products and moving into new markets.

Winning at SEO is pivotal to success.

The Head of SEO will work closely with product, development and leadership teams to build-out new products, features and ideas. You will ensure that execution has SEO at its core and that all activity helps build reputation.

There is a small SEO team, with a Search Manager and Content Editors that you will manage but this is very much a hands-on role.

Head of SEO | Head of Search Engine Optimisation – Person Spec

In order to apply, you will be a Head of SEO, SEO Director, Director of Search or equivalent, ideally working for a major consumer-facing website. We are not looking for someone to step-up into this role.

It’s unlikely that the right person will be limited to agency experience only, although if the clients have been high profile enough and part of a long term relationship, then that could still be interesting.

The skills you will need to bring:

*Visibility – you will understand exactly how to remove, prevent and solve blockages to ensure Google finds every page as planned. You regard this a bread and butter stuff. You will know how to deal with Malware attacks instantly to minimise their impact

*Content & Relevance – you will have a brilliant logical mind and use this to structure websites into subdirectories and taxonomies that maximise natural search and long tail search strings. You will have a proven track-record in delivering unique pages with ultra-relevant content.

*Reputation & Authority – This is where we need you to blow us away! You will be an inbound marketing genius. We’re looking for someone with expert skills in understanding how Google values pages, with creative ideas on how to drive traffic through making your website most relevant, useful and memorable for users.

Alongside being an SEO genius, we’ll need you to be able to build key relationships inside the business, with a supremely talented leadership team, an awesome dev team and an innovate product department. Your communication style, team working skills and ability to influence are as important as your SEO skills.

The Package

Role based in central London
Basic Salary: £84,000 – £120,000basic depending on skills and experience
Benefits: 25% Bonus, Pension, Health, 25 days holiday
