A truly exciting Head of Procurement opportunity with a unique, successful and inspiring organisation in the West Midlands region. You will lead a UK wide team of 4 across both direct and indirect categories, with a strong focus on global sourcing of ingredients within a global category management structure.
Client Details
My fast-growing client are market-leaders within the food manufacturing sector and they are looking for someone to lead and develop their UK procurement team. This role also has the potential to progress into a Director level position in the future.
My client operate on a global scale and have been on the receiving end of multiple awards for their success in recent years!
Description
- Ensure delivery against budgeted cost / PPV targets and service KPI’s through effective vendor, spend c. £70mil and commodity management
- Develop and deliver savings initiatives and maximise benefits from European leveraged spend, execute supplier sourcing processes and contracts
- Develop, communicate and implement procurement strategies to enable delivery of function objectives. Utilise knowledge of the external marketplace across suppliers, customers and competitors to execute strategic sourcing & supplier management plans
- Guarantee site security of supply via effective vendor risk management. Supplier performance monitoring and management including KPI development and continuous improvement stewardship
- Develop relationships with internal stakeholders, functional managers and suppliers, represent Procurement function in the UK SLT, responsible for key UK purchasing decisions
- Maintain compliance to corporate policy, ensure appropriate controls in place and develop interfaces with other functions. Coordinate evidence collation for internal audits and deliver yr on yr improvement in audit score. Develop and/or implement new policies/procedures/standards.
Profile
The successful candidate for this Head of Procurement role will have significant experience at a senior / leadership procurement level, gained within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Experience of procurement within ingredients categories would be advantageous.
Job Offer
The successful candidate will be offered up to £80,000 plus £7k car allowance, 10% bonus potential, PHI and hybrid working (multi-site UK role).
