Head of Business Development and Tendering – Children’s Charity

Formed in 1971, KIDS occupies a unique position in the charity sector. During its 43 year history and its steady growth KIDS is the only national charity that is solely focused on disabled children no matter what their impairment or disability. The charity’s principal activity is providing quality services for disabled children, young people and their families most, but not entirely, funded by contracts with Local Authorities.

Head of Business Development and Tendering
Salary: up to £43,660(excluding London Weighting)
Hours: Full Time
Location: Birmingham (Wylde Green) or London, with opportunity for some home working

This is a new role at KIDS, you will lead targeted business development of new services and provide tendering and contract support in specific areas of growth and opportunity. The role will be flexible and evolve in order to meet the changing business development needs of the charity.

A proven business development/tendering professional, with a relevant degree/qualification you will relish the challenge of developing this new role for the charity and be able to demonstrate:-

* Experience of designing, developing and completing successful tenders and business plans leading to significant income generation
* Proven ability to influence and negotiate at a strategic level with commissioners and funders of services
* Strong commercial acumen, analytical, communication and interpersonal skills
* Strong workload planning and prioritising abilities
