We are currently seeking an experienced Head Chef / Kitchen manager for our clients’ very busy pub in Surrey with the salary at £36,000for the right chef. Experience at the role and cooking to high volume will be essential due to the pubs popularity. You will be working alongside a great team and as head chef working very closely with the managers to provide a quality service.

As head chef you will be in charge of all management duties from ordering, stock management and kitchen staff management. You need to have a good strong personality as well as strong management capabilities as it is a fast paced environment and you will be managing a brigade of 4 chefs. The shifts for head chef vary, but as head chef you will be expected to be flexible based on business demands. The salary will be approx £36,000pa dep on skill, including accommodation!

The ideal candidate will:

• Be motivated, energetic with a can do attitude and passion for hospitality industry
• Have good understanding of British cuisine
• An ability to develop and evolve new dishes in line with the menu style
• Will have a minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar role
• Be able to work quickly and efficiently
• Have strong communication skills
• Good knowledge and understanding of all Health & Safety and Food Hygiene
• Have the ability to inspire others and coach his/her team
• Have great attention to detail, be passionate about fresh, quality food
