Group Health and Safety Manager

Salary: £72,000 – £78,000 per year

An extremely attractive fast paced industry sector to work in, providing lots of diversity and daily challenges for an experienced manager.

This is an exciting new ‘Head of Safety’ vacancy with the opening of the event and venue sector and the successful candidate will play a pivotal role in providing strategic direction for Health and Safety and ensuring Safety Assurance across the UK sites.

You will report to the Security Director and work closely with the Head of Operations and Venue Managers’.

Essential Requirements include:

* Experience in a dedicated Health and Safety Manager role within the event, venues, airport, shopping Centre, festivals, conference centres, sports stadiums, or related environments (managing safety for public safety in large numbers)

* Strategic experience: you must have proven experience of providing statistical information to Senior Management

* NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent

* GRADIOSH or CMIOSH level membership of IOSH

* Effective people manager and project leader

* The ability to be able to influence and persuade at all levels and effectively present credible business cases

* Robust and enthusiastic approach to objectives set

* Gravitas; able to illustrate strength of character and drive

* Experience of public safety, emergency planning and a good working knowledge of fire safety

* Stable work history

* Live within the Lancashire or nearby area

* Flexible to work long hours if required and travel UK wide to venues

Ideal Requirements include:

* Degree qualification

* Knowledge of building management and CDM

Salary Range – £72,000 – £78,000
