CDM/Health and Safety Advisor

You will be responsible for assisting the Design Services Manager in the management of CDM and construction related H&S of a wide range of projects, working with multi-disciplinary teams toward the safe and successful completion of projects.

To provide specialised support, training and advice, embedding the principles construction-related health, safety and welfare with all clients, designers and contractors across all building programmes, including capital projects and maintenance works.

To advise and assist NCC officers who act in CDM specific roles of Client, Principal Designer, Designer, Principal Contractor and Contractor to ensure compliance with CDM2015.

Assist in the pre-construction and construction phases of projects and help to develop and collate relevant information, phase plans and H&S files.

Supporting Principal Designers in their role under CDM 2015, as necessary.

Essential Requirements:
Demonstrate experience of ability to offer advice and guidance over a broad range of construction related Health & Safety issues and CDM matters.
A NEBOSH General Construction Certificate in Health & Safety / IOSH membership.
Experience of supporting and implementing complex building based projects, working within multi-disciplinary teams.
Demonstrate knowledge of current and emerging best practice in construction and maintenance related health and safety, legislative requirements and statutory responsibilities.
Proven experience in the interpretation, application and administration of the CDM regulations both 2007/2015 and the on-site arrangements developed to comply with these in relation to building projects.
Experience of developing pre-construction information, construction phase plans and health and safety files.
