Group Carrier Manager

Salary: £54,000 – £66,000 per year

Elevation Procurement & Supply Chain are delighted to be working with one of the UK’s largest Wholesalers and Distributors based in Hull in the search for an experienced Group Carrier Manager with elements of Customer Service Team Management too.

An award-winning organisation who despatches 150 pallets and 8000+ parcels a day, you will be responsible for appointing, implementing and managing all third-party carriers, ensuring world class service levels against set KPI metrics. Overseeing the carriage process of goods from the Distribution Centre to local branches and direct to customers, you will also manage a small Customer Service Team.

Key duties and responsibilities will include:

– Reviewing current carrier services and analysing current and historical performance
– Negotiating contractual terms with carriers – ensuring best price for best quality
– Holding regular budget reviews
– Managing a small but self-sustaining Customer Service Team
– Monitor cost and performance and identify areas of improvement

Elevation Procurement & Supply Chain would be keen to speak with candidates who have the following skills and experiences:

– Experience with Third Party Carriers
– Contract management experience
– Negotiating for terms
– Team Management experience
