Glaze Development Technician

My client has a vacancy for a Glaze Development Technician to develop new glazes and colours for the Design Team and factory industrialisation.

This is a full-time staff position, 8.45am to 5.00pm Monday to Friday.

Previous knowledge and experience in the field of glaze development would be preferred but is not essential as training will be given. This role will ideally suit a candidate with an art education background and a strong interest in colour, texture and home fashions.

This interesting role, reporting to the Glaze Development Manager, will provide ‘hands-on’ support to the Department and duties will include:

• Liaising with our Designers on a colour and texture brief
• Mixing raw materials accurately to produce development glazes
• Assessing trial glazes and recording information
• General lab duties
