General Manager

The Role

The successful applicant will take the lead responsibility for developing specific opportunities in a range of managed FM services and electrical/ hard FM services. To be responsible for all operational staff, budgets and performance of facilities management services within the contract, maintaining a close liaison with the Client FM function, ensuring day to day requirements of delivering the FM contract are met.

* This role requires someone to deliver high quality services, adding value by increasing productivity, cost efficiencies and encourage innovations from all departments to provide service improvements.
* To exercise financial and commercial controls in the management of expenditure and income, in addition must maximise profits of operations.

* Must be able to recruit, select and lead staff to maintain the highest standards of professionalism and customer service

* Compliance of company policies, procedures and QA’s is paramount; as well as the health and safety of the working environment.

* To implement and maintain contract performance monitoring systems thus being accountable for the monthly performance.

Qualifications and Skills

* To present a professional and polite image to all customers whilst maintaining and promoting good communication and developing relationships with the client, service partners and colleagues of all levels.
* Ensuring the delivery of consistently high standards of customer service.
* Member of RICS, CIOB, BIFM or similar.
* Previous experience in managing mobile engineering of public or private sector contract of a minimum value of £2m p.a.

* Must have an engineering ONC / HNC.
* Service Provider experience.
