Salary: £78,000 – £84,000 per year
Supply Chain Futures are supporting a retailer with the recruitment of a General Manager for one of their sites in the North West.
Reporting into the Regional Director, the General Manager will be responsible for the operational, commercial and strategic leadership of a 450,000 sq ft site servicing a network of 70 stores. The site is a manual operation, running 24/7 and employees over 300 colleagues.
The General Manager is responsible for exceeding the service level agreement with its internal clients in terms of operational efficiency, productivity and value added service.
Considered candidates will have UK retail logistics experience at a General Manager or Senior Operations Manager level. They will have this experience in 3pl and/ or in-house retail distribution operations.
The General Manager will also lead a continuous improvement agenda across the operation (collaboratively with all other business departments/ stakeholders) and lead the engagement with the general workforce.
As expected for this level of role, our client expects strong leadership, communication and influencing skills, with the ability to manage all levels of stakeholders.
