This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated, enthusiastic Graduate Civil/Structural Engineer to join a growing successful multi-disciplinary engineering consultancy in a team based in Ipswich. Working throughout the UK and abroad on a vast array of interesting projects, our client offers a great place to work with a supportive and friendly team focused environment. Our client has a dedicated Rail Team, which has developed an enviable reputation in the industry.

The Rail Team undertakes an interesting variety of work on Network Rail infrastructure both direct for Network Rail and for contractors, as well as for outside parties. Recent projects include platform extensions, bridges, station buildings, retaining walls, culverts, drainage works, temporary works, heavy duty paving, all both new build and the repair of existing structures.

Due to a continued success they now have an opening for a Graduate Engineer to work on a varied, interesting workload, with a mixture of office based design work, as well as some work on site. On the job training and support is provided by senior personnel and the company offers approved training agreements with the Institution of Civil Engineers. In order to be considered for this Graduate Civil/Structural Engineer role you will;

* An ability to work within design teams and contribute to the design of civil engineering structures.
* An excellent knowledge of engineering principles and structural mechanics.
* An ability to carry out the surveying and inspection of civil engineering structures on site.
* An aptitude for development and progression.
* An excellent standard of written and verbal English.
* Industry experience would be an added advantage.

Key requirements for this Graduate Civil/Structural Engineer role you will;

* A minimum 2:1 MEng degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
* UK driving licence
* Any previous consultancy experience would be beneficial
* A good working knowledge of AutoCAD
