Foundry Engineering Manager
£50k – £80k (Plus Benefits & Bonus)

Our client provides manudacturing capabilities for UK masde products as well as exciting product development technologies such as computional fluid dynamics. They hav has been operating for their award winning foundry for over century.
Main Duties
* Developing a maintenance team of 15 skilled craftsmen.
* Driving the department towards world class efficient manufacturing whilst pragmatically delivering cost effective solutions.
* Managing multi million pound budget projexts.
* Ensure that where necessary action is required it is in line with the company policies and procedures
* To liaise with all Directors and senior managers to continue to drive the Company to becoming and remaining ‘World Class’.
* Promote positive health & wellbeing using support and initiatives
* Champion change, support your teams and deliver
* To develop a maintenance team capable of supporting long term business growth plans.
* To ensure projects have a clear plan and update senior team on variance to cost or time.
* To evaluate repeat failures and design solutions.
* To suggest productivity / reliability upgrades and be accountable for delivery if approved.
* To challenge all quotes to get the best possible deal.
Key Requirements
* Essential- Educated to degree level
* Essential – Over 10 years experience in heavy engineering
* Essential – Project Management ownership at F10 level of complexity
* Essential – Not afraid to be hands on when required
* Desirable – Ability to create / read engineering drawings.
* Desirable – C.eng status
* Desirable – Complex high pressure hydraulic automation.
* Desirable – Expert in either mechanical / electrical installations.
* Desirable – Nebosh certificate.
* Desirable – Management experience of multi skilled maintenance teams
* Desirable – Modern lean techniques as applied to maintenance, TPM ect.
* Desirable – Control of maintenance budget over £0.5m.
