Fleet / Repairables Controller

Rullion have a contract requirement for a Fleet / Repairables Controller to work with a large established Rolling Stock Company based out of a Rail Depot in Chester, Cheshire.

Duration: Initial 6 month contract with option to extend.

Shifts: Monday to Friday – 37 hours per week on days.

Rates: £23.34 per hour PAYE. Umbrella Company is also an option.

Role:
The role entails an effective member of the Repairable Planning Team professionally managing the interface with the Fleet Control Team and movement of repairable materials within the Supply Chain to maximise availability of such products for maintenance activities.

Liaison with Fleet Control Teams at assigned Rail Depots and Plants, ensuring the availability of Materials at the correct location to deliver train availability and defect clearance.

Liaison with Train Care Centre Material Controllers to manage material shortages, inclusive of the management of a daily Conference Call.

Co-ordination of control of repairable materials requirements where requested to support Overhauls inclusive of all aspects of supply chain management and transport.

Co-ordination of transport requirements, supporting the Repairable Planning Manager in the achievement of budget and cost control.

Processing of products requiring return to supplier for repair/overhaul, inclusive of the following activities:
– Generation of supplier RMA/RMR Reports, inclusive of the capture of appropriate failure data.
– Generation of Purchase Orders and Delivery Notes to facilitate the despatch of product to the Supplier.
– Expedite Open Purchase Orders & maintain delivery information within SAP to achieve material availability & the business OTIF objectives where appointed as a single point of contact

This role is subject to Drugs & Alcohol testing, due to working in a safety critical environment.
