First off Inspection Assembly Operative
Based in Spennymoor, County Durham
Salary: Commensurate with Experience
Shift Pattern: shift rotation of 6am-2pm & 2pm-10pm
The sucessful candidate will need to carry out the following procedures:
* 1st off procedure
* Last off procedure
* Scrap procedure
* 5’s procedure.
The role:
* Perform all duties to the highest level of quality and safety possible.
* Carry out the 1st Off Procedure – Recording weights, measuring parts, Fusion Testing and recording on the QA computer – return completed 1st off’s to press for run verification.
* Fit & Function Gauges – Understanding the requirements of the Fit & Function gauge in order to check parts effectively.
* Last Off – Inspecting the Last Off parts from previous run, completing label information, record into Last Off log. Ensure parts are retained correctly for the next production run.
* Use of Measuring Equipment – Using Digital Verniers, Digital Probes, Height Gauge, Fusion Meter to ensure parts are within specification.
* At 1st off stage ensure the packer is competent at packing and inspecting parts and using any gauges.
* Follow the production plan to inspect product to varying Quantities.
* Re-Subs – Ensure weekly Re-subs are performed in time and information entered onto computer.
* Organise and control all procedures within the areas.
* Ensure all information is captured and communicated daily.
* You must meet all customer requirements, inspect work and pack correctly in accordance within IATF 16949 standards.
* Complete error log daily.
* Complete any work requested by your Manager
Key skills:
* Understand all CQS (critical quality specification ) documents.
* Excellent attention to detail to capture any potential defects or issues.
* Ability to record, interpret and analyse data and information gathered.
* Ability to take responsibility & ownership, be a Self starter, with Good communication skills and to be able to work as part of a team
* Ability to remain focused and un-biased when gathering and relaying information
