Are you a qualified accountant with experience with the construction industry looking for a secure and rewarding PT position locally in Kent?

An opportunity for an experienced Financial Controller to join a growing organisation within the Building Maintenance/ Construction sector has arisen in the local area of Medway, on a PT basis (3 days per week basis).

The Financial Controller will lead the delivery of the company’s Finance function, providing financial advice to the Directors from both a commercial and statutory perspective. Financial Controller should streamline the accounting functions and operations, provide financial analysis and reports, train staff on business finance issues, promote regulatory compliance, and drive income generation.

The Financial controller will be an experienced, qualified Accountant, within the construction industry (CIS) who is used to working at a senior level.

The main responsibilities of the Financial Controller role will be to:

Coordinate preparation of the Group’s annual budget and cash forecasts and oversee the production of annual accounts and audits.

Preparation of monthly management accounts and year end processes.

*

Independently manage the full accounting function including daily accounting, bank reconciliations, monthly CIS returns and quarterly VAT return preparation and submission.

Detailed knowledge of Sage 50.
