Financial Controller

Our client is recruiting a newly created role of Financial Controller to support the Finance Director and take responsibility for the financial control of a small group of companies. Based close to the eastern end of the M62 and with easy access from the A63, Humber Bridge, Hull, Market Weighton and Beverley areas, the company is located within a short commute of these areas.

THE ROLE
Reporting to the Finance Director the role will be interesting, busy and diverse. Some of the duties will include:
*Accounts to trial balance for all the companies in the group to create management information including commentary
*Cashflow monitoring, forecasting and cashflow control
*Reviewing, monitoring and improving internal controls where necessary
*Involvement in hedging/managing foreign currency (mainly Euros)
*Coaching a small accounts team, looking at options for IT improvement and investment
*Ensuring VAT and other statutory regulations are adhered to, management of payroll/salaries/pensions
*Manage the external audit process
*Ad hoc duties as and when required

THE CANDIDATE

Qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent, you may be looking at leaving professional practice to make the break into industry or following a practice training, are already working in industry and looking for your first Financial Controller role.
You will be looking for challenge and will enjoy working as part of a small group of committed individuals making their business the very best in their sector. Candidates need to have a high degree of IT literacy, excellent communication skills and the ability to relay finance information to non finance staff with clarity and understanding.

Our client is a leader in their sector and is enjoying considerable success hence the reason for the appointment. The location is within a easy commute of the eastern end of the M62, A63 dual carriageway, the Humber Bridge, Hull, Beverley, Market Weighton, Howden, Goole and surrounding areas.

THE BENEFITS: £35,000 – £45,000 dependent on background, experience and level of qualification + benefits
