FINANCIAL CONTROLLER
£40000 – £50000 + CAR + BENEFITS
My client is continuing to expand and as a result they are currently seeking an enthusiastic & experienced FINANCIAL CONTROLLER to join and strengthen their team in DONCASTER, SOUTH YORKSHIRE.
Overview of Role:
As Financial Controller you will work alongside the Managing Director to ensure that accurate and timely financial information is reported for the Company to the Group.
Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities:
* Production of monthly management accounts
* Facilitate review of P&L trends
* Balance sheet reconciliations & Account Reconciliations
* FX Transactions
* Purchase Ledger / Accounts Payable management
* Credit limit supervision
* Drive forecasting for plans, cashflow, etc
* Stock valuation & control
* Analyse & prepare data to provide key insights into business performance
* Legal dispute resolution & Legal contracts review
* Property & lease management
* Manage & develop finance team
* Identify efficiencies and process improvements
* Submissions to HMRC for PAYE, VAT, Intrastat
* Accurate completion of Data Analysis submissions
* Fixed Asset register management
* Preparation of the annual financial statements
* Oversight & support of HR department and activities
* Assist with acquisition strategy and onboarding of new businesses
* Prepare board pack for bi-annual board meetings
Experience & Skills:
* A confident, self-starter, with the ability to operate in a dynamic environment
* ACA / ACCA / CIMA qualified
* Must possess strong commercial acumen
* Experience within the Industrial Component Distribution Sector & MRO/OEM Sectors
* Experience in Third Party Logistics & Inter-Continental shipping
* Be able to work to strict reporting deadlines
* Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures
* Experience with consolidation of group financial statements
* Experience with reporting of financial performance to parent group
* Able to work on modern ERP & IT systems with advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Excel is essential, Excellent accounting software user skills
