Financial Accountant – 12 Month FTC

Cooper Lomaz are currently supporting an expanding business with an excellent reputation to recruit a Financial Accountant, for an initial 12 month period to cover a project. Reporting into the Head of Finance, you will manage a small team of accounts assistants whilst also taking ownership for month end accounts production as well as supporting commentary for Senior Management. Monthly reports are produced under UK GAAP, therefore candidates will need to demonstrate a strong technical accounting background. You will also take responsibility for maintaining the integrity of the general ledgers including fixed assets, accruals and prepayments. Given the dynamic and expanding nature of the business, you will also be expected to produce timely and accurate VAT returns and statistical reports for review by the Head of Finance.

Candidates will ideally be qualified accountants (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with strong Excel skills. You will be flexible in approach and be able to commit fully to the full 12 month contract duration. For the right candidate, there is potential for the role to be extended or made permanent.
