Financial Accountant (12 Month FTC)

Salary: £72,000 – £78,000 per year

£60,000 – £65,000 + £7,000 car allowance + flexible working + corporate benefits

Robert Walters is pleased to have partnered with a true market leader within their field, who are looking for a Financial Accountant to join on an initial 12 month fixed term contract. This Financial Accountant will take responsibility for key accounting work and be a key liaison for AR and AP within the UK, working closely with a European Shared Service Centre. In addition, this Financial Accountant will manage, mentor and develop a team of 2 and act as a key business partner to the senior leadership team.

Key responsibilities:

• Complete several key Financial Accounting processes, specifically focusing on (but not limited to): stock, balance sheet, general ledger queries and analysis.
• Manage the Accounts Receivable function within the UK to ensure that: bad debt is minimised, credit insurance parameters are met and professional relationships maintained, systems data is accurate and efficient.
• Ensure the organisation is operating within its banking facility, working on regular cashflow forecasts, and answering day-to-day treasury queries liaising with shared service centre colleagues in Treasury team.
• Act as a contact point for Financial Accounting related queries or changes.
• Supporting monthly and quarterly reviews of financial statements.
• Identify issues and trends on an ongoing basis that may prevent the Business achieving its financial targets.

Experience and qualifications:

• Qualified Accountant ( ACA, ACCA, CA, CIMA or equivalent).
• Excellent financial accounting knowledge, with a good understanding of AP and AR processes.
• Pre-existing basic treasury knowledge would be highly advantageous.
• Previous people management experience would be beneficial.
• Excellent business partnering and communication skills are vital.
