Finance Manager – Bi-lingual English/German

Our Client is a business without peer, a company that leads the way in their sector. As part of a dynamic international growth strategy, they are looking to significantly develop their business across EMEA. Their impressive client list includes leading names in retail, manufacturing & pharmaceuticals, and they aim to develop this further.
To assist their growth plans they are looking to recruit a Finance Manager to add to their established management team. The successful candidate will have fantastic attention to detail, strong communication skills & the ability to manage high expectations to deliver a strategic agenda.
Supported by industry leaders based both in the UK & internationally we are looking for a candidate who has a strong track record of success, but more importantly somebody who has an outstanding career ahead.
Key Responsibilities:
* To execute financial reporting by preparing and analyzing quarterly, monthly and annual statements to ensure that financial information is recorded accurately to the appropriate requesting authorities in accordance with US GAAP.
* To maintain General Ledger by reconciling internal accounts; ensuring journal entries are made in a timely manner; and conducting month end closing.
* To be responsible for the management of the accounts payable/receivable and the associated processes and activities.
* To be responsible for the management of tax filings.
* Planning, managing and controlling foreign exchange exposure.
* Providing training and development support to the finance team
The Person:
* Degree qualified, or equivalent
* Chartered Accountant
* Experience with USA GAAP accounting requirements
* Industry experience to include logistics/distribution, or technology, or business consulting, or professional services
* IT literate
* Proven team management experience
* Fully bilingual in German and English
* Good experience of conforming with external compliance requirements (e.g., VAT, income tax, payroll tax, and foreign exchange transaction reporting requirements)
* Ability to work in a fast-paced corporate international environment
* Ability to work independently
* Strong interpersonal, organizational, time management and problem-solving skills
* Ability to travel domestically and internationally
