Finance Assistant to Fd

Salary: £42,000 – £60,000 per year

Our client are expanding their Accouting function and are seeking an Accountant to assist the FD with all duties as follows

Day to day running of the finance function and team.

This briefly includes monitoring,

recording and analysing applications.

Compiling cash flow forecast and leading credit

control processing and chasing.

Checking payment certificates and payless notices

received and invoices raised when necessary.

Ensuring timely entry of purchase and subcontract

invoices.

_ Production of WIP and project adjustment figures for entering journals.

_ Supporting the finance team and giving direction to them.

_ Responsibility for closing Sales, Purchase and Nominal ledgers.

_ Producing monthly Management Accounts and supporting documentation.

_ Checking reconciliations and ensuring integrity of ledgers including costing.

_ Assisting with nominal ledger journals.

_ Input/use of contract costing ledger.

_ Attending Contract Cost Progress meetings.

_ Gathering information to produce WIP schedules.

_ Setting up and analysing new project information for inclusion on cashflow and Work in

Hand schedules.

At least part qualified ACMA or ACCA. Equivalent qualifications considered.

_ Competent user of Excel.

_ Computer literate.

_ Ability to communicate effectively at Board and site level.

_ Must be organised and able to work to deadlines.

_ Knowledge of the Construction Industry particularly CIS.

_ Knowledge of Reverse Charge VAT in construction prefered 

_ Awareness of commercial insurance, HR and Construction Contracts

Hours are 9-5pm
