The Company:
Our client is a full service, digital marketing agency that specialises in engagement for tech and gaming. Due to their success and growth they are seeking to increase their team. Based in Bath this role will be some office with home working, it’s essential you are happy to travel to their Bath office once a day initially and then less as your knowledge and experience grows.
The Role:
Due to their ongoing success they are seeking a Part Time Finance Assistant. This is supporting their FD and your role will be varied and working directly with their Finance Director to ensure all tasks are completed. This is working 3.5 -4 days per week (they are incredibly varied so these hours can change longer term but set initially whilst you are in your training period, they can also be outside of the standard 9am – 5pm then too).
The role will be incredibly hands on and responsibilities will include Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Payroll and Cash Management as well as assisting with Management and Financial Accounts preparation as and when required.
In particular, you will have primary responsibility for the Accounts Payable process – an area in which there is an opportunity to implement change and enhance existing processes.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities
● Primary responsibility for all aspects of the Accounts Payable process – managing supplier relationships, purchase orders, invoice approval/processing and timely payment
● Oversee employee expense claims ensuring accurate coding, compliance with policy and prompt settlement.
● Credit card and bank reconciliations (including the scanning and logging of physical receipts)
● Maintain the fixed asset register
● Petty cash and FX cash handling
● Assist with timesheet administration
● Accurate and tidy filing (hard and soft copies)
● Collect information for and draft payroll on a monthly basis
● Provide ad hoc support to the Finance Director and management team as requested
● Suggest changes or improvements to increase accuracy, efficiency, and cost reductions
The Person:
For this role our client is seeking someone who has 2 years working in a similar role as well as:
● Excellent Excel/Google Sheet knowledge
● Proven experience in learning new IT systems and processes.
● Familiarity with accounting software (specifically Xero)
● Sound organisational and time management skills – ability to work under pressure, to deadlines and to prioritise workload
● Team player but also comfortable working autonomously
● Attention to detail with the ability to work to a high level of accuracy
● Excellent written and verbal communication skills
● Discrete, trustworthy and willing to learn

Central Bath office and home working
Hours:
3.5 – 4 days per week (17.5 hours per week) Complete flexibility over working hours
