Finance Assistant

Salary: £26,000 – £27,600 per year

This well-known growing organisation are looking for a Finance Assistant to join their team. This role will be offered on a full-time basis however they will consider candidates who are looking for 30 hours a week over 4 or 5 days.

Finance Assistant – About The Role

In this role you will be reporting into the Finance Manager and will be working within a wider finance team of 12. Furthermore, you will be responsible for handling the purchase ledger for multiple entities whilst also assisting within other areas. Your key responsibilities will include:

* Process purchase orders, checking the correct nominal coding and authorisation signatures have been applied.

* Reconciling delivery notes to invoices received and purchase orders.

* Assist in the preparation of purchase summaries and processing of business expenses.

* Providing support to the Finance Manager to ensure the smooth running of the finance systems.

* Assisting in the BACS payments run process.

* Liaising with suppliers and budget holders regarding any queries.

* Contribute to the evaluation and development of financial systems and procedures.

* Ensuring that all records and filing systems are maintained & organised on a regular basis.

The successful Finance Assistant will have

* Previous experience in a similar position

* Working knowledge of Excel

* Good communication skills
