Finance Administrator

Salary: £26,000 – £30,000 per year

This role involves the overall day to day processing of transactional sales and purchase ledger as well as weekly, monthly and quarterly reconciliations, tasks and requests by senior management. This role will potentially offer a combination of home and office working.

THE ROLE

* Processing purchase orders and invoices

* Performing 3-way matching on inventory related purchases and following up on differences

* Checking and reconciling supplier statements and review of supplier aging

* Filing of invoices and statements and dealing with purchase enquiries

* Processing staff expenses and placing supply orders for general operation

* Checking Proforma sales invoices and final invoices, following correct VAT accounting treatments

* Providing statements of account per customer or overviews as required

* Monitoring limits on customers who have credit terms

* Processing payment receipts

* Finalising invoicing to customers upon shipment of sales orders

* Processing short shipments, RMA and/or credit note after appropriate approvals provided

* Calculating and checking to make sure payments, amounts and records are correct

* Loading payments on bank for approval

* Maintaining Fixed asset registers

* Intercompany Billing and Bank reconciliations

* Producing supporting VAT reports for external advisors

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

* Previous experience within a similar role

* Qualifications/certifications in accounting/bookkeeping would be preferred

* Hands-on and process orientated

* Good IT skills, in particular MS Excel
