Consilium Recruit are partnered with Bystronic, a globally recognised manufacturer and developer of press brake, laser machinery and automation solutions. They are seeking a Field Service Technician for a cluster of manufacturing businesses in the Doncaster region.
Salary: £42,000 – £46,800 p.a. + Company Vehicle + Private Health + Pension + Private Health Plan

The Role
The Field Service Engineer will work out in the field at customer sites, supporting both new equipment orders and existing contract. The key responsibilities include delivering high quality service, installations, problem diagnosis and preventative maintenance.
The Field Service Technician will act as a trusted guide to the customer, given accurate and honest assessments on the equipment and feeding back updates the main service centre. You will support the delivery and installation of new machines and on some occasions overnight travel may be needed in the odd instance.
The Field Service Technician will play a pro-active role in advising on servicing plans, spare part availability and maintenance scheduling, to help ensure the customer gets the maximum period of availability from their press brake and laser machinery from Bystronic.
The Person
The Field Service Technician will possess a driving licence, be comfortable to operate in the field within a regional basis of home and possess a recognised experience set in servicing, commissioning, maintenance, and installation of machinery.
A recognised engineering qualification, ideally an apprenticeship or similar is welcomed for the role, in addition to the ability to fault-find to root cause level using visual display outputs. The Field Service Technician may draw on experience working on PLC systems, CNC Machines and/or press brake and laser machinery itself.
The Field Service Technician will possess a positive and supportive approach to customer engagement and be able to build relationships for future business. You will have a safety-first ethos and be able to demonstrate this clearly in your work.
The interview process is conducted over two stages, with a technical and business element to the discussion. First stage is via MS Team and the second stage is based at the company Headquarters including a site tour and chance to explore the equipment in person.
