Field Service Engineer

Role: Field Service Engineer
Location: Travel through the UK is required. Base of operations located in Stanmore.
Salary: £30,000 – £36,000
Car Allowance: £550 per month

A leading Stanmore-based scientific instruments manufacturer is recruiting for a Field Service Engineer to work on a number of key accounts installing, repairing, maintaining and providing training on Molecular and Micro Analysis instruments and other sophisticated Optical instrumentation throughout the UK.

The ideal candidate will be educated to degree level in either Physics or Applied Sciences, and will need to have either experience of, or interest in, mechanical and electrical workings of scientific machinery. Due to the nature of the role, the candidate will be responsible for planning their own work schedule, with managerial support offered, and will need to have a full UK license, with their own transport, and be willing to travel to clients around the UK.

The candidate will need to take ownership of client enquiries, and be responsible for the resolution of machinery issues. Due to the client-facing nature of the role, the candidate will need to be able to communicate effectively with both scientific, and non-scientific, members of staff.

A 6 month training period will be provided, and the candidate will have a strong support base within the company.
The position is open to both graduates with a Physics background with an interested in hands-on engineering role, as well as experienced Field Service Engineers.
